Pharrell Williams continues to shape a new aesthetic for men’s fashion at Louis Vuitton. For the Spring-Summer 2027 collection show, the designer made the surfer the protagonist of the season – free, carefree, and effortlessly stylish. The venue for the event was the International University Residence in Paris. Williams, who has long transformed his shows into grand performances, this time invited guests into a true summer narrative. The centerpiece of the set design was a colossal, cascading wave that appeared almost lifelike. With this, the designer paid homage to surf culture and his hometown, Virginia Beach, on the East Coast of the USA.
The surfer image became the foundation of the new Louis Vuitton collection. For Pharrell, it symbolizes freedom, lightness, and life by the ocean. A bohemian mood permeates the entire collection, and classic elements of surf attire are given a luxurious execution through the craftsmanship of the French House.

The designer blended urban aesthetics with Californian beach style. The runway featured denim micro-shorts with raw edges, oversized knit sweaters, vests with palm tree embroidery, and surf suits entirely covered in the iconic Louis Vuitton monogram.

Some models walked the runway carrying surfboards or skateboards under their arms, enhancing the overall narrative of the collection. Pharrell Williams’ signature style elements were also present: impeccable tailoring, bootcut trousers, and baseball caps, which have become his recognizable features.

The nautical theme continued into the accessories. The iconic Keepall bags featured ocean-inspired details, and among the new items were clutches shaped like seashells and other accessories with a trompe-l’œil effect imitating marine creatures. Monogrammed models were adorned with vibrant colorful embroideries reminiscent of corals and tropical landscapes.

One of the main new releases from the show was the Combi sneakers, presented in several variations – from red leather embossed with a crocodile pattern to the signature canvas version with the Louis Vuitton monogram. Notably, the model went viral even before its official runway debut: a few days prior to the show, it was exclusively previewed by the Instagram account @skateboard.
The Combi draws inspiration from the world of skateboarding – a culture historically intertwined with surfing. Both movements share a spirit of freedom, independence, and a desire to live outside the rules – it is precisely these values that Pharrell Williams has made the central theme of his new collection for Louis Vuitton.
